Campouts

We go on campouts monthly, sometimes they're as far away as Gettysburg, or as close as 2 minutes down the road. Either way they are fun and we would like to have more people on them with us. Here's a list of some of the best campouts we've went on and continue to go on.

Yawgoog

Every year, the Troop goes to Week 6 at the Yawgoog Scout Reservation in Rockville, RI. It is the most anticipated no matter what. The Troop gets an entire week to paddleboard, earn a plethora of merit badges, sing songs at the Saturday Night show, hang out with friends at the 407, hike the 1800 acres of land the reservation owns, work on rank advancement, learn about other troops, and most importantly, have fun.

Saco

Every year we go to Saco river in Maine and New Hampshire. This campout is a great time and a lot of service hours. We get service hours from this campout is we go down the river and pick up all the trash that we find and throw it out properly. the owners of the campground then give us a cook out because of the service we just did for them. In the end of it we have a good timel.

Gettysburg

In the summer of 2022, the Troop went to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, the site of one of the most pinnacle moments in American history. The Troop toured graveyards, took a double-decker bus tour of the battlegrounds, and was even led on a ghost tour. The troop also took a trip to Hershey Park and a military museum in the area. The Troop had a blast and looks forward to planning it again sometime in the next couple years!
